Creating Visual Effects for Games

Overview

Mastered Unity's Particle System to create dynamic visual effects for real-time gameplay. Designed effects like explosions and magic spells while optimizing performance. Leveraged Shader Graph and custom textures to enhance realism, achieving visually engaging results applicable to various game genres and styles.

For VFX creation using Unity’s particle system, I followed a process that balanced visual impact and performance:

Particle System Setup:
Used Unity’s Particle System to craft dynamic effects, fine-tuning properties like lifetime, speed, and direction for natural looks. Implemented various particle types, such as emission bursts and gravity forces.

Material and Shader Creation:
Designed custom shaders for effects like fire, smoke, and glowing elements, optimized for real-time performance using Unity’s Shader Graph and Amplify Shader Editor.

Integration and Testing:
Integrated VFX into the game, ensuring they interacted well with physics and lighting.
